Management of the Corporation
The Corporation is a statutory body initially created by the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Act 1986 for the purposes of administering a long service payments scheme for the building and construction industry in New South Wales.
With the introduction of the Long Service Corporation Act in 2010, the Corporation's name changed from the Building and Construction Industry Long Service Payments Corporation to the Long Service Corporation enabling it to administer multiple Acts and Schemes. The Corporation now administers the schemes for both the building and construction industry and the contract cleaning industry.
The Long Service Corporation Act 2010 defines how the Corporation and the long service schemes it administers are managed.
