Information for Sole Trader

If you are a sole trader performing contract cleaning work, you may choose to register with the scheme as a worker.

Registration by a sole trader as a worker is voluntary.

However, you need to be aware that if you register as a sole trader you must lodge a return every 3 months and pay a levy of 1.7% of your ordinary remuneration. Failure to do so may incur a penalty.

As a registered worker, you can get long service leave after 10 years of recognised service in the scheme.

Long service leave payments to sole traders include the levy amounts paid by the sole trader to the Corporation, plus up to 75% of the rate of interest earned by the Corporation.

To apply for worker registration as a sole trader, you will need to complete a Worker Registration Application and send it to the Corporation.
